Culture II Tops Billboard Chart

Written by

As expected, Migos' Culture II has topped Billboard's 200 Album Chart.

The second installment from the rap trio pushed 199 000 equivalent album units through the week ending 1 February, according to Nielsen Music. It marks Migos' second debut at No. 1, the last being for Culture which topped the 200 chart dated 18 February 2017.
And the records keep on coming. Culture II's No. 1 makes Migos the fifth rap group to have more than one chart-topper album following the Beastie Boys,  A Tribe Called Quest, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and D12.
A breakdown of the numbers shows that Culture II benefitted from streaming. Of its total 199 000 sum, 38 000 were traditional album sales, 11 000 accounted for track equivalent albums and 150 000 went towards stream equivalent albums.
